		<description>Stacie,

Thanks for inviting me to come and speak to The Meet Market! What a great group of people.

Here are a few resources that will help anyone, but especially small businesses track legislation:

Federal: http://thomas.loc.gov/
State: http://www.legislature.ca.gov/
San Diego County: http://www.sdcounty.ca.gov/cob/bosa/index.html
City of Carlsbad: http://www.carlsbadca.gov/chall/4councilmtg.html
Chambers:
US- www.uschamber.com
CA- www.calchamber.com
Carlsbad - www.carlsbad.org

Again, it is important to contact your legislators, but remember Keep It Short and Sweet (KISS), and follow up on legislation with a short letter on their vote. Make an appointment to meet with the official or their staff (federal, state and county).

I hope all this advise helps. Thanks again for inviting me to come speak!
